Anonymous Poet: I appreciate "worth reading." The piece, in intention at least, is not as negative as you seem to find it. The notion that one's years are not "special" is, in some traditions, a kind of wisdom and even the basis of joy. I can't complain, for instance, that I have been "singled out" for whatever troubles I might have known, since I know that trouble is nothing special. Life is life, to be loved for what it is, without demanding that it be special. And there's always today, but I deliberately leave the rest of that open, to be completed by the reader.
