At least you can step on the ants, or fumigate them. Unfortunately, you are generally not allowed to do that to other unwelcome guests -- such as in-laws.
anonymous poet: In fact I didn't step on or fumigate them, and now they've gone. You have to admit they didn't overstay their unwelcome.
They must be the most polite ants, ever.
