What a great triptych (I felt they merited the term!)
All three capture an urban scene beautifully but the third is my personal favourite. It's a great piece of naturalistic description (It's getting late: what time is it?) but it also has that feeling/implication that evenings and shadows are time checks for us all. Or should I just shut up and pass the bottle? Cheers

Floots: thanks so much. Your reading, as usual, is astute and imaginative. The implication you mention is certainly there. In fact, though, it didn't occur to me consciously until I looked for the first time at what I had written.

Ever observant, aren't you? Pulling little gems out of every day life.

BTW: Can I get some of whatever floots is drinking?
