This poem makes me think of nights when I'm waiting anxiously for someone to come home, watching the headlights sweep past.

Thanks, patry. It's always interesting to learn what sort of reaction my poems have triggered. The particular anxiety you mention was not in my mind as I composed this, but it's entirely consistent with what I wrote.

i had a night drive through snow recently but can't get the words/form together
