winner II

This haiku took first place in the Shiki Monthly Kukai for April. As I've explained elsewhere, a kukai is a competition in which the entries must be on an assigned theme or use an assigned word. In this case, the word was "wildflowers." We were required to use either the word itself or the name of a specific wildflower.

Congratulations Bill. This has the qualities I'd expect in a winner. Well deserved.

Hi Bill,
what a lovely haiku indeed !

Here it is

. Crocus, a KIGO .

To me as a German, crocus is rater a garden flower and not in the wild, but that is a different matter ...
