exit

"We . . . have to work . . . sort of the dark side"
(Dick Cheney, Vice President of the United States, speaking on Meet the Press, September 16, 2001, five days after the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon)

exit strategy—
finding a way back
from the dark side
The Dark Side is also the title of an enthralling and appalling new book by Jane Mayer.

The Dark-side... always fodder for the "Contrary" thinkers; I remain a "Contrary." Very well posed, John. _m

And Tikkis is so right...(about the wolves, the human race).

topci works for me Angelika ! ... welcome back Bill ... hope you and yours had a wonderful time ...

your 'exit' poem has the structure of a haibun (an haibun ? heh) ...

exit strategy
finding your way back
from the dark side

as a standalone poem ... i get depression ... you do have a way with words ...

always enjoy your work >>> Gina

Thanks for those good wishes, andrew.

Coffee is sometimes all it takes, Angelika.

This one is rather topical, Gina, but I think that's allowable within the senryu tradition. I don't want to be "overagendaed," as jem puts it in her comment on "accent.".

Thanks, yoga. I think Stewart had that September 2001 quote in mind.

Thanks, patry. My advice is, don't read Mayer just before bedtime; you won't sleep all night.
