Last summer, my wife and I gathered with an old friend of mine; we hadn't seen eachother in over forty years. Her first words: "My God... you look just like your father!"
_'Till then, I hadn't noticed, but now... every glance in the mirror!
_Lovit, Bill! _M

British Queen Elizabeth #? removed all the mirrors from the court ?-)

(My father still lives, he is 91 years old.)

So simply, yet so touching (and haunting?)

That's OK for Queen Elizabeth, Tikkis, but I'd have to check with my wife.

Thanks, anon. I think it's a common experience as we age.

simply put and so, so true - except it's my late mother who looks back at me.

So simple but powerful. That's just what happens. The old we get the more we become our parents. I think it's probably comforting. This way they will still be with it, even when they've gone.
