Hi Bill,

I remember those lovely jacaranda trees and the sidewalks and lawns covered with lavander blossoms. I used to walk to the bus and tried not to ruin the look. Thanks for the memories of when I lived in LA.

Thanks for those comments and greetings. I owe my knowledge of jacaranda to the fact that my son lives in Southern California, where they can be seen in May. As Dalloway reminds us, it's spring in Australia right now.
