solstice-ku

Here's one I've posted at a few blogs today

in an old yearbook
that girl I never kissed–
winter solstice

I don't know why...but this made me laugh so much! :)

And, I have had an experience, the nut shell of which may suit this haiku..its interesting ---

One of those first days in Delhi, the winter of 1997...No metro-rail in those times and the bus a bit too crowded....a fairly old man was standing in front of me, side by side to a chic Delhiite girl....a little too close...

As the bus moved on, there was a sudden push and then the sound of a tight slap...all that I saw, when i turned to see, was the red faced girl staring at the man and his regretful face ...No, no...not me...its the bus, the driver, the turn!!


That night I wrote in my journal the day's experience

the old man might now be regretting a kiss that he missed...! the girl must have already forgotten it...
