rain

rain on the windshield
the old quarrel
back and forth

First place, Shiki Kukai, free format, September 2011; Keyword "rain"

There's a copying error above. The text as it appeared in the kukai:

rain on the windshield
the old argument
back and forth

I'm leaving both versions up, since the earlier posting has already received comments.

A quarrel is an argument, but an argument is not necessarily a quarrel.

Thanks, Doug, Gillena, and tikkis.

That's a nicely ambiguous one, tikkis. I try to make a point of not arguing with windshields.

Wow. So many layers in this - it can take me to so many places. But firstly it reminded me of childhood, holidays, always raining, driving, getting lost, parents strained patience.

Yes, Jem, all those memories went into this ku; I'm delighted you found them there.
