I didn't understand this haiku before I read about Rust Belt in Wikipedia. Now I'm able to appreciate it fully - especially the "house at the end of autumn".

Gillena, I find that "Rust Belt" is commonly capitalized, although most Americans would recognize the term with or without capitals. It refers to an area of the US fallen on economic hard times due to the withdrawal or decline of large-scale manufacturing.

Thanks for mentioning the Wikipedia article, Monika. It's a good place to start for anyone who wants more information.
