first spring day

A little variation on the "change of clothes" kigo of Japanese haiku. On the "first spring day," not by the calendar but by the elements, I don the lightweight jacket I haven't worn since the weather turned cold months ago. And look what I found! And, yes, Polona, it does make one think of time's flight, of continuity and change; at least, if one is this one. Thanks.

Lovely. The little bits we carry with us, hopefully enough to make up for the bits we inevitably lose from one season to the next.
